Administrative Assistant/098-17

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, to include: providing support to IT supervisors and staff; managing the IT department’s daily administrative activities; making meeting arrangements; preparing reports; and maintaining appropriate filing systems. Key responsibilities include: answer and direct phone calls; organize and schedule appointments; plan meetings and take detailed minutes; write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms; assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports; update and maintain office policies and procedures. Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma/GED required; additional training/credentials as an administrative assistant will be a plus.  Minimum one (1) year of experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or office administrative assistant. Knowledge of general office management systems and procedures, such as filing and correspondence; proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, in particular); excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills. Must be willing and available to work non-traditional schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
