Provide friendly, excellent service to every customer who approaches the bar; prepare and pour drinks for customers and cocktail servers; ensure that coffee urns and pots are filled during peak periods. Operate a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change. Perform daily inventory of specialty items and help prepare for special events. Must be 21 years of age and be a certified bartender; high school diploma or GED required. Knowledge of operating cash register and bar equipment is required. Must be able to obtain food handlers’ permit within 14 days of employment and Class 12 or 13 liquor permit within 30 days of employment and maintain same throughout employment. Must be able to successfully pass MAST class within 30 days of employment. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working in a confined work area. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, bright lights, and noise. Must be willing and available to work non-traditional schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays; overtime may be requested.
